Description (1961): 0.6 MI NE FROM FORDTOWN. FROM THE POST OFFICE IN FORDTOWN, (LOCATED ABOUT 8 MILES NORTHEAST OF FALL BRANCH), GO 0.05 MILE NORTH, THEN 0.6 MILE NORTHEAST ON THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY TO A SEMAPHORE. THE BENCH MARK IS 8 RAILS NORTHEAST OF MILE POST 103, AND 13.3 FT. SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST RAIL OF A SPUR TRACK. THE DISK IS CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN TOP OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SEMAPHORE.

Fordtown post office is gone. Park at the former railroad station on Fordtown Road, which was a drum manufacturing business. Walk along edge of tracks to semaphore.
