The Tioga State Forest is 17,000 Acres of Natural Areas, and Wild Areas around the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, and through Tioga County. There are great places for hiking, biking, rafting, canoeing, and snowmobieling throughout the area. Black Bear, Whitetailed Deer, Bald Eagles, Coyotes, and fox are just some of the wildlife that live in these woods, and the plant life can be just as interesting. You may come accross Jack in the Pulpit, Skunk Cabbage, Bee Balm, Indian Hemp, Indian Pipe, and the rare Ginseng. This particular road will take you on the west side of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, Past Colton Point State Park and onto roads less traveled. There are signs posted with maps to asssist in your travels or you can pick one up at the Bureau of Forestry
