Built 1908. Late Victorian/Queen Anne. The Gilmer Heitman House is one of only three surviving, stately early-twentieth century residences that once lined the Caoloosahatchee riverfront near the city’s commercial core. The home was built for Gilmer Heitman, Sr., who played an important role in the commercial development of Fort. Myers. The structure is a significant local example of Queen Anne style and is one of the largest and most elaborate early 20th century residences in Fort Myers. Private.
