These pavers were donated in memory of loved ones and they are on display in the temporary Museum of Ashe County History in this small mountain town.

Patrons were asked what they wanted to say on the pavers and whether there was a hobby or something they wanted their loved ones to be remembered for.

There were many interesting pavers and they were hand painted by local artists including one in his 80's.

We were very happily surprised to find the donated paver of a very dear friend who we lost several years ago.
