This church structure stands prominently in the center of the town of Mansfield, MA. The Orthodox Congregational Church in Mansfield formed in 1837 after splitting with the congregation when it installed a Unitarian Minister. The church building was built and used by 1839. According to a plaque, there was substantial alterations in 1871-2. The church organization is part of the United Church of Christ denomination.
