The West Branch School House closed it's doors in 1949. The photo looks to be around that time, since the lawn looks to be a little overgrown, but not taking over yet. The School House is now privately owned as a seasonal camp, and is in fairly good condition. Take note in the photos, the difference in the hight of the trees in the background, the missing bell, and the different front porches.
