This is a friendly bar with a low-key local crowd during the day. They are used to camera toting tourist stopping in to take a look at the famous peacock window. No cover charge, no purchase necessary ;) The back door of Carry Nation's is at the free public parking lot in the middle of downtown. Carry's is open late into the night, but of course the window only looks good by daylight.
The stained glass was created by Tom Stanton with Lou Bermingham in 1976. They also created the front windows, which are artistically bevelled (but not stained glass).
