Would not have had any idea what this marker was until I stumbled upon Kevin Nehring’s website (
visit link) while researching Benchmarks in the Fresno/Madera counties. And then found Highwayman's site "C" Block California's Right of Way Markers Used on state routes from 1914 to 1934 (
visit link) Which explains a little more about these markers.
