"Near the Civic Center stands a great Teutonic Rathaus built by the German Association in the days when Polk Strasse was the main commercial street for San Francisco's many German immigrants.
Today the California Culinary Academy conducts classes here and operates a public restaurant which serves student prepared haute cuisine at reasonable prices." (visit link)

The building was built in 1912. In the 1960s, it was a concert hall where the likes of Jefferson Airplane played. Since the 1970s, the building has been used by the CCA.
