The Art Deco styled building was designed by Harry Hake Sr., the architect for many buildings in Cincinnati. The 14-story building was constructed in 1930 (the 13th and 14th floor are recessed and can not be seen from the ground). The building features a variety of relief carvings in its limestone facade, including French styled telephones, head sets, people and animals. The building continues to serve Cincinnati Bell and was expanded to the west in 1976. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995
