In October, 2004, Robert Clifton Cauthreaux III presented his Eagle Scout project to Central Pierce County Fire and Rescue for display in front of Headquarters Station 6-0. The memorial is a rock pedestal about 3 feet tall and 1' X 1'. It is topped by a thick stone plaque. The front of the pedestal has a list of fallen firefighters.
The names listed on the left side of the plaque are those that have died in the line of duty. Those on the right are those that have died while a member of the fire department.
