The lodge stands on the south-eastern edge of the estate of Melchbourne Park. The drive leads all the way through to Melchbourne House and is now a popular walk leading through Coppice Wood.

This end of the area is known as The Slipe.

There are four chimneys, one at the front with a typical diamond design and a three chimneyed, ornate design at the rear.
