USCGS F1044 - Carpinteria, California - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This is at the edge of a short railroad bridge which seems to have no purpose other than providing a pedestrian underpass for access to the beach from a small residential neighborhood. This is a busy section of track which can be in use at any hour of the day.
