An old cemetery, perhaps as old as the settlements that would have grown up with the development and settlement of Missouri. The oldest legible gravestone is dated in 1850; the most recent dated 1961.
The area's owes it's development to the Boone's lick Road. This road originally was developed by Daniel Morgan Boone and Nathan Boone, son's of famous frontiersman Daniel Boone. The graveyard is an probably from settlers moving into the area after 1821, when a perment settlement was established. The community of Camp Branch no longer exists, and has faded away, much like the condition of this graveyard.
The condition of the graveyard is very poor. Many gravestones are piled up near a tree. The some headstones appear to be displaced and others are topeled over. The redeaming factor to this cemetery is that someone is keeping the grass mowed.
A very good website on this graveyard lists the people that are interred in the grave yard.
