The rail line was completed in the spring of 1891. The total length was 12 miles from Grenloch to Kaighn’s Point Ferry Terminal, Camden. This area is now a public park. The caboose is not open, but you can peer in the windows.
The cupola caboose was built for the Central Railroad of New Jersey in 1897. It remained in service until the 1950's.
In between W. Railroad Ave. and E. Railroad Ave. at W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ. Parking is difficult.
Current Use: The caboose is on display in Blackwood Station Park, the terminus of a rail to trail walking/outdoor activity trail.
