This Marker, Titled "The Potawatomie Trail of Death", maps the trail that 859 members of the Potawatomie tribe took from near Plymouth, Indiana to Osawatomie, Ks, from Sept. 4, to Nov. 4, 1838. 40 members of the tribe, mostly children, died along the way. Details from Wikipedia:
