This pole is between the parking lot and entrance of St. Mary's In-The-Hills Episcopal church. A dedication plaque on it reads:
WITH ALL OUR LOVEIN MEMORY OF
GLENN ANTHONY SCHULTZ
AND JEHESKEL "HEZY" SHOSHANI

Looking into these names, I found that Jeheskel Shoshani was a renowned elephant specialist who was killed by a bomb in Addis Ababa on May 20, 2008.
