The Belle Plaine Depot is privately owned, and signs posted ask us to keep out. (Please respect their request) The depot can be viewed from the sidewalk. It is located at the intersection of 8th Ave. and 11th St. It is currently vacant and the windows are boarded over. This very cool two story depot was built in 1894. The railroad that this station served was the C&NW (Chicago & NorthWestern)
