Riverdale Presbyterian Church was founded in 1896 in the nearby town of Riverdale Park. As the church grew, it outgrew its location in Riverdale Park, and in 1950, it moved into its present building in University Park.
In addition to serving as a house of worship, the Church is a focal point for community life in University Park, hosting diverse activities such as yoga, chili cookoffs and community theater.
