Westside Family Church began as a new mission called Quivira Road Baptist Church (QRBC) in 1976. For the next 12 years, it served the community as a traditional neighborhood church. In 1989 a new senior pastor was called and in 1994 the church became Westside Family Church, changed its focus to become Purpose-driven, and relocated to western Johnson County. The church adopted a simple, biblical strategy and structure that insures equal emphasis would be given to all five New Testament purposes of the church (worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism).
