With the merging of two Islamic societies from Akron and Kent, a bigger space was needed for them to meet. A 17.4 acre plot of land on Steels Corner Road in Cuyahoga Falls was bought in June, 1995.
Work started on the construction of the new Islamic Center Project in September, 1996. The new Center cost over $2.5 million dollars and consists of three parts , namely : Mosque, Islamic School, and the Multi-purpose Hall.
