Furniture Barn and its two-story mural of a cow has been a Flagstaff landmark for generations. Most people don't know this building was used as an armory and is listed on the Natl Register of Historic Places.

"This 35-foot tall Holstein cow that graces the front of the Furniture Barn on Milton Road (Route 66) in downtown Flagstaff was the first commissioned project that Melanie Thomson-Myers painted. Melanie Thomson-Myers now lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona, and her murals can be seen in a number of private residences and public buildings in the greater Phoenix area."
