Simon Cool was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. I stumbled across this grave while looking for a geocache and found its place very odd, and all by itself. The road is only about 10 ft away on one side, and the banks of Lycoming Creek are only a few feet away on the other side. Behind it is a remnant from another structure, maybe another bridge, and in front of the grave site is Lycoming Creek's Bridge No. 2. This bridge was once part of the railroad, so after this man was burried there was likely lots of rail traffic as well. Go figure! I could hardly make out his name, and couldn't read the dates at all, so if anyone can give me any more information on this man, feel free to email me! I am very curious now!
