Since its formation in 1954, the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild has produced and performed 203 different shows. The group moved into the local movie theater the Geauga in 1998. The old theater on the square featured a large production stage and all the character of an old neighborhood theater. The Guild has renovated the old theater and now uses it regularly to host performances. When stage performances are not being presented, the theater is used to present movies.
