The Texas School Book Depository is located at 411 Elm Street in Dallas, Texas. At approximately 12:30 p.m. on November 22, 1963, the limousine carrying President John F. Kennedy and Texas Governor John B. Connally made the turn from Houston Street onto Elm Street passing directly in front of this building. As the motorcade made its way down Elm Street, Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired three-shots from a sixth-floor window, killing President Kennedy and wounding Governor Connally.

Today the building is preserved as "The Sixth Floor Museum” which details the event prior to the assassination and the events that followed. Visitors can see the alleged snipers nest and a number of artifact related to the assassination.
