This man made waterfall is created by the Boney Falls Dam on the Escanba River north of Cornell, Michigan.

This dam is one of three active hydroelectric dams on the Escanaba River. It is the first dam on the river before it empties into Lake Michigan. Public access is available above the dam where there is a campground and below the dam where there is a small parking lot and recreation area. The area below the dam is a popular fly fishing spot.
There is a parking area at the dam itself on the west side of the river off of Boney Falls Road. There are a couple of small observation decks below the dam here.
