The City of Herculaneum Municipal Flag was officially dedicated and raised on December 31, 2008, as part of the closing ceremony for the City of Herculaneum's Bicentennial Year Celebration. The flag was dedicated in honor of all current and future residents of Herculaneum. The city flag replaced the Bicentennial Flag that was flown during the Bicentennial Year of 2008. The Bicentennial Flag was officially retired during the closing ceremony.
