The church of St.Andrews is no longer in use for services but is open and in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust, as is the mausoleum.
The elaborate domed mausoleum was built in 1752 by Humphery Hopper in memory of his wife Joan, the Hoppers came from Scotland and the inscription records the presence of Nicholas Hopper here in 1573.
The church and mausoleum can be reached from the town of Corbridge travelling South on the A68,a public footpath sign points the way when the hill is reached.
