Located on SD Hwy 28 in southern Clark County, South Dakota, Willow Lake has a population of about 325, according to the 2000 census.

The Willow Lake area is a Hunting and Fishing Paradise! One of the local lakes, Dry Lake, has fishing year round, and the predominant fish are Northern Pike and Walleyes.

Hunting is excellent also with white tail deer, pheasants, ducks, and geese of all kinds. Willow Lake is located within one of the major North American Flyways.

Two excellent parks are available for visitors use. City View Park is located on the south side of Hwy. 28, next to the Dexter Creek. There are play grounds here, picnic shelters and flush toilets. Town square park is unique. It is located in the center of town.

The heated swimming pool is on the east side of town, south side of Hwy. 28. It also has a shallow childrens pool fenced seperately on the north east corner.

Ethnic diversity is made up of mainly European peoples. Ancestries include German, Irish, Norwegian, Swedish, and English.

Willow Lake is in the central time zone.

The city was incorported on March 28, 1910.
