"Dream a Little Dream" is about Corey Feldman's character 'Bobby' having a crush on Meredith Salenger's character 'Lainie'. One night while Jason Robard's character 'Coleman' and his wife 'Gena' played by Piper Laurie are doing an experiment in their back yard when an accident occurs with Bobby and Lainie. The next morning Coleman wakes up in Bobby's body and Gena wakes up in Lainie's.
This is the house used in the movie for Bobby's. The first morning after Coleman switches bodies with Bobby we find his best friend 'Dinger' played by Corey Haim sitting out on the steps waiting for Bobby to go to school.
