The old village stocks and whipping post are located in the centre of the village of Little Houghton.

The stocks have a plaque which reads as follows:
'The Stocks, Little Houghton
It is not known how long the stocks have been here, but the present woodwork dates back to 1835. The last man to be placed in them was William Baucott in 1833, for being drunk and ill-treating his wife.'
The stocks are located at ground level and stand next to the village post office. Adjoining them is the whipping post. They have been preserved in a small gravel area.
