The Nashua Heritage Rail Trail is a paved path built along a reclaimed set of railroad tracks. The trail runs parallel to West Hollis Street for approximately 1.3 miles, starting near Nashua City Hall, and ending near Simon Street. This mural can be found on the back of a building on busy West Hollis Street, just a few blocks north of City Hall. Since the mural faces the Rail Trail and not the street, the thousands of cars which pass near the site each day are largely unaware that this work of art lies only a few feet away on the back of a building.

As a fitting tribute to the iron creatures which traveled this route in years past, a railroad train provides the backdrop for this mural. Contained within three of the railroad cars are various scenes painted by local artists. The mural was created as part of the Mayor's Task Force on Youth with the support of local businesses and citizens in 2005, and covers the entire block between Walnut Street and Chestnut Street.
