Jacob's Well still stands beside the road now covered in ivy, its winching mechanism just visible. The well provided water for the south part of the village and is located between 46 and 47 High Street. It dates from the late 19th century and the substantial stone, circular structure holds the timber frame which once winched up the buckets of water for the villagers.
