Veteran's Memorial Bridge was dedicated to the Memory of 57 men from Dale county who died in WWI.

The Bridge is believed to be the first reinforced Concrete Bridge in Alabama.

The reverse of the sign (river side) tells about a Grist Mill located nearby.

Addtional Information::
Marker is place along the side of highway 231 in Dale County, Alabama on the North Bank of the Pea River. Marker is east of the North bound lane of travel. Just south of the Marker is a concrete Bridge showing signs of age. No vehicular access to the memorial bridge is possible
