This sixty foot tall stone tower also serves as a sundial, projecting shadows of the sun onto plaques arranged in the lawn area, during certain days and times in the future that will eventually mark the City’s 100-year anniversary. This provides a sense of history to the Plaza while also taking visitors into the future. The tower will has shade surrounding its base to protect visitors who want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the adjacent amphitheater. This unique feature provides a striking and memorable visual for those entering and utilizing the site.
