South Holson Lake SHSR-42 - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

Survey disc is set in a concrete post level with the ground. There is a path from the ramp parking lot that leads right to it.
TVA Surveyor informed me:
"This is a silt range monument set by TVA before the reservoir was built. They established these monuments before the reservoir was filled with water to estimate the amount of silt that would fill the reservoir over the years."

This particular marker is the first 'reset' marker I have found.
