The movie "Caro Diario" [engl: "Dear Diary"] (1993) is a collage of short stories, most of them shot on location in the city of Rome and its surroundings, often showing the main character traveling on a Vespa scooter.
In one of the mini-stories, he travels to a seaside location called Idroscalo di Ostia, to find and locate the exact spot where the writer Pierpaolo Pasolini was killed in 1975.
The location in general shows a swampy area with tall grasses, some debris of construction materials, and a small concrete monument.
