In 1968, a small group of people began meeting together for prayer, seeking God's direction concerning starting a new church in the growing west county area of St. Louis. In 1970 they officially formed a church and began meeting at Parkway South Junior High School.
On July 15, 1973, 85 members gathered on a piece of choice property on highway 40 to break ground for their new church building. In October of 1974 the first services were held at their new site. Over the years, West Hills has been instrumental in helping to start several other churches in the St. Louis area.
West Hills is affiliated with the Baptist General Conference, the Mid America Baptist Conference and the Willow Creek Association. If you would like more information, please ask at the Information Center.
