I remember when this mural was painted in 1986 as part of the Texas Sesquicentennial celebrations across the state.
The mural is a map of the area and highlights several locations that were important in the history of Texas. From earliest native sites to industrial development.
I'm not sure who the original artist was or why it's fallen into such disrepair over the years. It was once a gorgeous mural and now seems to be fading into history.
