There are 4 TRDC stones in close proximity to each other marking out an enclosure for the water intake for Tavistock Rural District Council. Two of the stones are in the gully very close to the brook and two are just a little way away on the northern side of the brook. I have found very little information on when water was taken or how it got to Tavistock, I can only presume it was taken by a leat as there are leats going in the right direction but these may have been used for mining. I will update this page when more information is available.
Type of survey mark: Granite posts
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: Near Dartmoor Brook.
