SpotsCO, MALLARD AZ 2004, VA, is a Spotsylvania County Survey Monument (aluminum disk) monumented by GeometricsGPS, Inc. on 01/15/2004 and located along the west side of Mallard Road near Coleman’s Mill, VA. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = DG6620 (visit link) . The disk is 71.6 feet northwest of wood utility pole number 711 51 D1, 50.0 feet northwest from a metal culvert, 32.0 feet west of the centerline of Mallard Road, 5.0 feet southeast of a wire fence, and 4.8 feet southeast of an orange Carsonite witness post. The disk is mounted flush with the surface and is stamped MALLARD AZ 2004. To reach from Interstate Highway 95 northbound, take Exit 118 to Mudd Tavern Road. At the top of the exit ramp, turn right and go east on Mudd Tavern Road for about 150 yards to the intersection with Mallard Road. Turn right and go south on Mallard Road for about 0.29 miles to the station on the right. Recovery of this disk was first logged at the Geocaching datasheet for station Q 390, PID = HV3414. NOTE: Although the NGS datasheet refers to "Mallard Road", some maps identify the road as "Malland Road".
