This building is the San Jose city arena, now named the HP Pavilion, used as a sports venue (especially for the San Jose Sharks pro hockey team). Indoors, around the main concourse, are neon signs relating to some of the events which are held there. The larger-than-life figures are placed above concession stands, out of the path of pedestrians.
