The Selma Depot does not represent any of the Southern Pacific Railroad common standards for train stations. The building was constructed of timber with a stucco exterior and a flat roof. It has been modified to fit the needs of the current tenant. The trackside area of the station has been obscured by a tall masonry wall separating the station from the adjacent Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Southern Pacific Railroad and Central Pacific Railroad).
