This little memorial was placed here on the U.S. bicentennial by the Kiwanis. Alexandria Park is in the eastern point of land at the confluence of the Scioto and Ohio Rivers, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Erected for the rededication of 200 years of independence and freedom. While passing here, look up to God and give thanks to all those brave men who gave their lives so that this independence and freedom may endure. Erected by the Portsmough Kiwanis Club

Description of Memorial:
This is a granite marker with a bronze plaque. This park has a great panoramic view over the two rivers at the site of the original settlement, named Alexandria, in this area about 1780. It is part of the Boneyfiddle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
