Built in 1863 by the Imperial Lighthouse Service and is still an active house with a focal plane of 82 feet. Produces two white flashes every 20 seconds. Stands 56 feet tall and is a round brick/stone tower painted white.

Has a lantern and gallery and several abandoned out buildings (Keepers house and oil house) that have fallen into disrepair. Assuming that they were severily dammaged in 1996 by hurricane Andrew.

Visitors can visit the grounds but can not enter the house. Managed by the Bahamas Port Department.
Identified as ARLHS BAH-008; Admiralty J4624; NGA 11940.
