"ReStore Elgin is a 20,000 sq. ft. building materials resale center benefiting Habit for Humanity Northern Fox Valley. ReStore accepts donated new and gently used goods from retailers, manufacturers, distributors, contractors and homeowners. Home improvement materials are then sold, at greatly reduced prices, to the general public. The store's operation generates funds to support Habitat’s house building program in the northern Fox Valley area, while reducing the amount of material that would otherwise go into landfills."
