Brough is on the map as one village. In reality it is made of Market Brough, north of A66 road, and Church Brough, south of A66 Dual carriageway. The clock tower was built on the site of a spa well in 1911 as a commemoration to King George's coronation.
The pub on the left and the pub behind clock are both still open.
