The town of Willoughby is one of the few small towns in Northeast Ohio to have maintained its small town character as the area has grown. People from nearby communities travel here to visit the small shops and restaurants. In the warmer months many people stop at this gazebo and other places within the Public Square to rest, relax, and picnic. During the holidays, Public Square is the focal point for the towns lights and decorations. Santa stops in a small building near the gazebo for local children to visit.
