The Miss Mary Lionberger House at 30 Westmoreland Place was designed by James P. Jamieson in 1910 and completed in 1912. The Gothic Revivial influenced house was built for Miss Mary Lionberger who was the daughter of an influential banker and leader of commerce in St. Louis starting in the 1850's. She moved Westmoreland from the family mansion on Vandeventer Place following the death of her parents. It is thought the woman who never married moved to Westmoreland Place to be closer to her brother Issac and her nephew who both also lived on Westmoreland Place.
