There are ten scenes painted on the cement wall. Each one depicting Wellsville. I was driving by here when this was first started, and believe it or not this is a flat concrete wall. Even standing next to the wall you wouldn't believe it wasn't brick unless you touched it.
This was painted by Gina Hampton from Hanoverton, OH
In 1936 the Ohio river flooded it's bank and crested at 56 feet, which put most of the town under water. Then the next year the river flooded the town again, so in 1938 the Army Corps of Engineers built the flood wall
